Open your favorite web browser, and type 192.168.1.1 in place of a URL. (The default IP address for the Linksys router is 192.168.1.1; if you have changed it, then use the address you assigned instead.) Type the user name and password. (The defaults are no user name, and admin for the password. If you changed them, and you should, then use whatever you assigned.)
Once the Linksys setup screen is displayed, click Administration, and then click Log. If logging is enabled, you will be able to view the Incoming Log or the Outgoing Log by clicking the buttons labeled as such. If logging is not enabled, then you can enable it by clicking Enable and then clicking Save Settings.
In addition to the logs, you can find other useful information by clicking Status and then Router; this displays current Internet connection information. Click Status, then Local Network, and then DHCP Clients Table to display a list of all LAN connections to your router.

I don't have a linksys router anymore but I am sure you can do it! At the moment I can't think of what the problem would be. Do you have to use the MAC address or can you use the ip address? Seems like it should work for ip address too. Are you restricting access to some programs or is it supposed to be a complete access denial? If you're only blocking some programs maybe that is the problem.

You can check your router's logs through your router's Wi-Fi manager software. to see, among other thing, what other computers are linked up to your network.

Open up your browser and type "192.168.0.1" in the address bar.
The rest should be pretty self-explanatory.
