If you don't want to memorize which number it is in the shortcuts, you can always go up to your toolbar and click Insert, then choose Symbols. You get a large selection of various symbols, including the degrees sign, and many others you may need someday. ↑↓→>§

If you have Microsoft Word, go to the menu bar at the top and pick Insert|Symbol. then in the "subset" option pick "Latin 1". Or you can just look about 15 symbols past the end of the alphabet.
Left click on the symbol. Then click "insert".
Then just highlight it and right click "copy" then "paste" to where you need it.

That's a good question, I don't either, so I'll read the response you get.

I have referred you question to a secretary. It cannot be done on a typewriter, on a computer It can possibly be done by finding your symbols menu it should be there.
