ok i have had my nintendo DS for a little over a year now and i got it used. i have tryed chargeing it and takeing the bateryes out but when i push the power buttin it just flashes for a real quick"second" and goes off. the lights work fine exept the top screen flashes wite and the green power light comes on bright then goes dim when the top screen comes on. it just wont stay on foe more than a second? has anyone else had this problem if so how did you fix it???????

the power light comes on for one second and the screen comes on just long enuf to say two.

mine does that exact same thing when the batteries need re-charged except that the light stays red. i called a buddy of mine works at eb games to see if he's seen this problem. he said these come in often and it's a defect with the battery itself and thats why the light stays green. the only option is to contact Nintendo of America via Nintendo.com or to do what probably was done to you, trade it in and get a DS lite. i hope this helps man, good luck!

My friend has a problem like that, but it somehow got fixed.Maybe the person who owned the DS before you didn't treat it well, or it happens when you don't play it for a few months.

I gotta say I don't know, but you should call nintendo customer support and tell them whats goin on.

your DS could have been dropped or gotten wet in the past. put it in a sunny window if you know it got wet

you may need a new battery, contact nintendo to order a new one.
