I called in sick after working 14 hours yesterday and they wanted me to come back in 5 hours, I just couldn't do it. I am completely exhausted. The feelings of death are a reality for people that have had cancer. My stress levels are way too high and I think I can get a different job. Actually I have a really good resume without my latest employer, they recycle humans, two of them quit this week. I guess the timing is never right for a job change. I was so upset I didn't sleep at all last night. They wouldn't let me take my vacation and I really need some time off. I am not looking for sympathy just opinions, and I thank the people for the positive input in my previous question. I don't have too worry about suicide, I am sure that I will die prematurely from natural causes. My life has never been easy.

I think you really need to talk to your employer about this and tell him exactly what you have said here. If he doesn't understand, then it's time to go shopping for a new job.

Reducing your stress level will be beneficial to your health. Clearly this isn't a company that cares much about you, so I would say find another job - just make sure you do that BEFORE you leave.

Incidentally, they have to allow you accommodation for agreed vacation time - they can't make you work without taking it, because it forms part of your contract of employment. However, I wouldn't waste time arguing with them - I'd just find the new job and forget about them.

Definitely get a different job. Even a minimum wage job for a short time while you interview for other jobs. Nothing is worth what they are doing to you.

Tell them you are taking your vacation and if they don't like it they can fire you.

ok then... quit your job! and look for a better alternative. Remember... quality (of your life of course) is more important than any job. As long as you have enough saved up or other means to support yourself while you look for another job you'll do fine... and the extra time out of an office will help too!

gdluck!

I'm wondering if you know that we create our lives? You may not believe me but go to www.thesecret.tv and watch the movie. And see what you think.
