I need help with my GBA Pokemon Sapphire Version game?!?

Question

I am in Rustboro and I don't know how to break rocks that are blocking my path. Or cut down trees that are blocking my path. And I need to figure this out so I can make it to the next city... PLESE HELP!

Okay I got the cut thing....Do I have to teach it to a pokemon to use it? I also mate it to Dewford. I need to Deliver a letter to STEVEN from this place. Where is STEVEN?

ok well i can help u i have sapphire, ruby, & emerald
if your in front of the pokemon center go to the house on your
left the man inside will give u cut to cut the trees that u see all
through out the game as for the hm rock smash u get that later in the game in mauville city. good luck on your pokemon journey :)

Sapphire/Ruby are the last PokeMon games I played/beat before I finally quit (I was 13 at that time). To get through the cave you: This will be the last cave before you'll reach the new Pokemon Leauge. The Trainer and the wild Pokemon here will be stronger than any Pokemon that you've fought previously. This is also a great place to train before your final challenge. Work your way to the exit. You might need to use Flash in order to lighten up the cave. There are loads of level 30+ and 40 + Pokemon here. You might want to get some if you still need some pokemon to fill up your team. Victory Road consist of three level, ground floor, Basment 1, and Basement 2. You'll need Flash for the basements. Both entrance and exit are located in the ground level. However, this is blocked by ledges which require you to go to the basement in order to reach the exit. Once you enter the Cave, head north until you see a flight of stairs. Climb it and follow through the path. Fight the trainer and go down the ladder. Here, head south and push the boulder aside. Afterwards head east and you'll be blocked by a rock. Smash it to go through and climb the stairs. Follow the path and go down the stair t ofigh a cooltrainer. Head South following the path until you see a ladder. Climb down the ladder to get to Basement 2 Here, go north fighting a trainer on your way. You'll meet a small lake. Use surf, and head west until you see a patch of land wit hstairs leading to basement 1. Climb the ladder. Head South and to the East. Push the boulders and the rock aside and climb the ladder to go to the ground floor. You are almost on your way to the exit now. climb the stairs north of you and just follow the path. Before the exit of the cave, you'll battle Wally once more. So make sure to heal your team. -- Hope that helps, it's rather easy but it can be baffling due to the massiveness of the cave. who plays that game anymore any way. Your leaf pokemon should have a skill, or something. Trees can be cut with some skill, as with rocks. I think for rock its rock break

first of all if you just started you don't need to the break the rocks yet. second of all you go to that dudes house the 1 w/the boat and he will take you to a island. and that pretty much what i know but if you need more help here is my e-mail:

Find some smasher and break it, I had a problem with this too but go everywhere to get it or is it do something. Just find every way to get through. And heck, go in the items and press everyone that would work.
