The only thing that makes a pregnancy is a sperm coming in contact with an egg. There are NO SPERM in shower water. Sperms come from penises. If your friend is pregnant - she was somewhere near a penis. (or she had artificial insemination - which is probably impossible for a 13 year old). If all she did was masterbate with shower water - she has no reason to worry about pregnancy.
You said... "If it's not the shower water, what could it be?" Well - it could be her lying to you about having been with a boy.

No...you can only get pregnant if sperm gets inside the vagina and that requires either a penis or a turkey baster full of sperm donated by a man.
There is no sperm in a water faucet.
However, teens are often very irregular with their periods. My 17 and 19 year old girls are still irregular.
Keep in mind if there's been no boy and penis, there's no chance she's pregnant.
I strongly, and I do mean strongly, suggest she talks to her mother about what is involved in getting pregnant. She does not have to tell mom she masturbates (unless she wants to), and she can reassure her mom that she's still a virgin (provided that is true, and if it isn't, she should tell mom that so mom can help keep her from getting pregnant).
So..what else could it be?? Just the normal irregularity of being a teenager, and possibly a little stress from worrying.

The process of pregnancy is quite miraculous. Though not so miraculous that it can be done through masturbation and water. See even through sex most of the sperm won't survive through the great journey to the eggs. If by some chance that vibrating shower head; I only assume that is what she is using; had some hint of sperm on it the sperm would never survive. Plus the heat from the shower would destroy them instantly. That rules out any possibility of pregnancy. Unless she is having sex. Of course as young as she is her period could be off and trying to regulate. My cousin is 16 and her period is for 3 months in a row then for 3 months she wont have hers. I advise that you pay attention in sex education.

Definately not. For that to happen, shower water would have to contain sperm, which is not possible. Besides the fact that sperm can only live up to either 42 or 72 hours outside of the mans penis or without being fertilized, it would be killed from water filtration processes like heating and/or freezing. At 13 years old, it's regular to have irregular periods, because her body still hasn't been developed. It could also be stress.

Yes, I believe there have actually been extremely rare instances of this. I think I actually saw a special about this on the Discovery Channel or some such thing. It had something to do with jostling the egg in the ovary, and that causes a reaction in it to begin the fertilization process. Mind you, this is extremely extremely rare. But if on the off chance this did happen to your friend, or you think this might be the case, I would probably notify someone about this possibility immediately. It is nothing to be ashamed about, but should actually be quite proud of! Just imagine, the rareness of it would probably prompt big companies to give your friend all sorts of free stuff for the care of her baby! Good luck in your friend's final prognosis!

Umm if shower water could make a women pregnant then I think every women on this earth would be pregnant. You can't get pregnant without sperm entering your body. And that takes a man to do. She isn't the Virgin Mary.

You really need to learn the facts of life. It takes a sperm and an egg to make a baby.
She's only 13, her hormones are probably doing one of the weird things young girls hormones do.
I would be careful masturbating with a shower head, it's a good way to get a urinary tract infection.

No dont worry about it, shes wont be pregnant. It will probably be becasue she has been stressing over the thought of being pregnant- so it will have made her periods irregular for the time being. Tell her not to worry
