no its not...its increased during parasympathetic stimulation. Sympathetic is the fight-or-flight situation...this is when u want to slow down the digestive system responses.

no, i would think it would be the other way around.
that stimulation of sympathetic would reduce things like digestion, peristaltic waves, elimination.
however, the parasympathetic nervous system is probably more involved in gasrointestinal things.

that's what i think. i know elimination is parasympathetic-related.
