50's now. 60's when I was in my teens and in to 'flower power'. 70's when inhibition was let loose on the catwalk and my figure could cope. The 80's didn't do a lot for me - probably because I was more intent on clothing my children rather than myself.
Overall I would have to say that the 70's was the best. A lot of styles of today were created in that decade and I'm only sorry that I didn't make the most of the choices whilst they were around.

The modesty and pure beauty towards the end of the 19th century to the mid '50's, the fun innocence of the '60's, the creative wackiness of the '70's and the boldness of the '80's is all highly appreciated by me. Though most of all, the first ones I mentioned... women were women, not toys. As for me, my style is feminine elegance. Long flowy skirts, well-fitted pants (when wanting more convience), lovely long sleeve tops or shirts, scarves, vests, etc. I adore standing out this way when I'm outside!

Some 1960's fashions for guys were cool, especially the suits that Sean Connery wore in the early James Bond films. Also 80's Armani suits were nice, typified in the 1980 Richard Gere film, "American Gigolo".

I love the 50's look, like how they dressed in the movie Grease, it's just awsome! I alos love the 80's style, which is apparently the new trend for 2006! Such bold colors and patters!

My own personal style is whatever is black or dark blue and cheap in charity shops.
Today I caught sight of myself in a mirror and it looked like my Dad.
Except he was wearing four-pound ASDA jeans and a Primark sweatshirt with sleeves about three inches too short.
The Levi jacket was OK and the black beret was a statement, something I have sported for 25 years.
For the record the jeans were a 'roomy' fit and tied with a belt of indeterminate age.
The wearer is almost fifty and could not care less how he appears.
He is mocking those who would spend upwards of five pounds on any man-made garment and urges you to think of the planet's resources and buy second (or third) hand, even underwear.

i am really big on the 40s and 50s but you either have to go all out and make it work, which is difficult, or not do it at all and come up with a fashion of your own

I like them all!
Each of them, in their extremes, are such good fun. And aren't we lucky that we can mix and mach them to create interesting new trends? I guess my personal style is in the mixing.
I've just watched the film 'Letter to Brezhnev' and the 80's clothes are fantastic!
