No, I think you need to feel 100% whole before you get into a relationship. Having someone in your life should be a bonus, but you should be able to be happy being independent before you get yourself into a relationship :-)

No, I don't. Not anymore, anyways. I would love to have someone beside me as a partner, but I will never need someone like that or lose my individuality again.

NO!!!NO!!!NO!!!
I have peace and serenity within myself. Friends, career and a relationship with a higher power (God) or not. Define who you are, have a relationship with yourself! What are your hopes, dreams, and aspirations!!! Why does someone else have to give you definition!!! So if and when you do find that person you want to SHARE your life with or have a relationship with, you'll know what you will and will not accept. You can't do that if you don't know yourself at all!!!!

I don't feel that I NEED someone. However, I have been in relationships more often than not. I usually break them off when it gets to a certain point though, because I am a bit of a committment-phobe. That is why I can definitely justify my response in saying that I don't need someone.

No, I grew up as an only child. Being alone was a part of life I learned at an early age. And it has made me a very independent individual. I always remember the following phrase, if ever I get lonely:
"you were born alone, you will die alone"

no. thats the thing with relationships. people are looking for people to fill up whatever it is that they think they lack when they should be whole within themselves, love themselves, and then find someone who they can love as another whole person and accept that person by being him/herself. thats the way it should be.

yes, you do. but before you meet that special person, you will still feel whole, it's only after you lose them that you don't. and if you feel embarrassed around them, they probably aren't your type, no matter what you tell yourself.

No, and people who do are more likely to suffer from dependent personality disorder.
