For any outlet around water you should get a GFI. It immediately cuts off if there is short to ground, such as water. There should already be a circuit breaker on the circuit unless you are wiring it yourself. Codes probably require both.

the National Electric Code requires a GFCI outlet for bathrooms because of the close proximity to water sources, A GFCI will trip quicker than a breaker.

all outlets in a bathroom require GFI if near water....we just run a circuit to each bath and make the circuit a GFI circuit.......u dont need one circuit per outlet!..
