When I click on a link and it opens up in a new window my pc still freezes. What else could be the cause? I have run all the securityy checks and have found nothing. Am I doing somthing wrong?

Did you ever have any spyware? Anyways something might have messed with Windows files and screwed it up. I would use another browser like Firefox or do a System Restore.
