They probably just seat the people by looks so that the camera tends to pick up the better looking people. Also, wouldn't you look your best if you knew you would be on TV. Besides its a courtroom. Everyone dresses nice at court. Unless they are stupid.

it depends on the program. Most of these shows have an unpaid audience. However there are others that used paid extras. Check with the Screen Extras Guild in America under unions or Actra in Canada for a list of legitimate Agencies that are accepting new talent.
Good luck

No, they usually call in for the tickets and or recieve then when they go to Universal Studios, and then they are offered the choice of 3 or 4 show tapings that they would like to go to. If I were to be a part of an audience, I would like to look my best, you never know who you are going to meet...

No, most likely they "go out" and find people willing to sit in and watch the show being filmed. Sometimes (not very often) money can exchange hands but it is indeed a rare event.

you don't pay to be on that show. you get free tickets. they probably make you dress nice and wear makeup. that's mean to say that they pay goodlooking people to be in the audience. someone's superficial!

I saw my penis on that show once...and unless they are hiding the money under my testicles I don't think they pay them.
