Anyone know of a shop in the Newcastle or Gateshead area who can transfer music from vinyl to CD? Don't want to buy all the software to do it at home.

If you want to try it yourself you need to link your phono output from your record player into your PC. Then record it on an audio editor - Audacity is free but Cubase, Logic or Soundforge will do it better. Then you save the audio as a .wav file and burn it to a blank audio CD.

They make a checklist participant that has a USB adapter to plug in to computers. I certainly have seen them on Amazon and NewEgg. I have no journey with them however, and the comments seem everywhere. some seem very costly too. despite the fact that it extremely is going to do what you are attempting to do.

Could have a look at 'Audacity', free software I believe.

Still need to link your turn-table to your computer, but at least the software is free and you are in control.
