It all depends on the country and culture too, some do allow it. Not evrywhere is against gay pple getting married.
I personally dont think some1 shud be treated differently because of their sexual preference or anything they choose to do....its THEIR choice.....they are still humans and have their rights.......

Because gays still are American citizens and have the right to vote. And I'm not sure why gays aren't allowed to get married..maybe it's because according to the Bible being gay is a HUGE sin, that would stop gays from getting married in a church..I'm guessing the preists (and God) wouldn't want a sin being committed right in the Lord's house. But there are other options to getting married then just inside a church, in my opinion though most people just don't see it as natural (not saying I'm one of them) so they oppose gay marrige.

Because voting is done behind closed doors, or in the closet, if you will. You can vote for a right wing ticket without anyone having to envision any member of the public getting shafted in the arsse as a result.

first of all, gay people are allowed to get married in certain states
next, how in the world is the voting machine going to know if the person voting is straight or not?

People vote as indivuals and vote their choices, once they are old enough to vote. Doesnt have a thing to do with being gay or heterosexual, being male or famale. ridiculous. We all are given the right to vote.
But getting married is another issue. one man and one woman have always been what makes a marrige, and thats how it should stay. A gay couple can deceide to live together and pretend to be married, thats their choice. But it does not fit what has always been the legal definition of a marriage. How dare they try to change our laws? This nation was built on Christian pricples. They dont have to like them, but they should adhere to our laws like we do. If they dont like this, go start their own place of only gays and run it how they want. Its just like if a Mormon goes to a Baptist church and all they do is argue against being Baptist and pushing Mormonism on everyone. They have no right. If they are mormon, go to a mormon church. pleeeeeease. Again this nation was built on Christian principles. We arent free from religion. We have freedom to chose whatever religion we want. It is a free world. But, to go against and try to change every rule a decent society has is wrong, and I tell you what... look around you.. Once the non Christians got in office and started running things, what have we seen? A nation going to point, bringing Hell upon themselves and everyone else. Disobedience brings curse and obedience brings curse. Every homosexual alive needs to get this. Not because God doesnt love them. Because He does. He wants to save them, and needs them to choose HIM and HIS ways to do so. You are being force fed lies of the devil and dont even know it. But all will know God says, and for many it will be too late. Its like people that are just living together now, even men and women, think they are entitled to all the rights married people have. gimmme another break. People want the rights and benefits without giving of themselves. God will not bless this nation if it doesnt turn back to God and do it soon. voting or not voting is the last of a homosexuals concerns.... He needs to get right with GOD.

that question is so completely ridicules! gay people have the same rights as anyone!
they can't get married because they would be changing the structure of our definition of marriage.
they can spend their lives with anyone they want and i'm sure there are churches out there that will marry them. just wait for the bureaucrats to change the laws.
oh, and they could get married, just not to the same sex. lol

Because they are Americans, entitled to the same rights as everyone else. Who gave Uncle Sam the right to dictate who can share a bed, a life, and a future with who? I certainly don't want "him" telling me which man I can marry.

Because they are citizens. Ever take civics class?
If illegal aliens aren't allowed to vote, why are they allowed to marry?
If naturalized citizens aren't allowed to run for President, why are they allowed to vote?
Give it a rest and ask a real question.

People seem to have a problem with same-sex marriage, but not with LGBTs voting. Which is just fine, because they have no problem with us contributing tax money, either. You may, I hope, remember the words "No taxation without representation" from civics class.

Great question and make a lot of sense to me. If you vote you help the goverment. If you do not marry then you make society and the goverment happy. Seems to me damn if you do and damn if you don't. I think gays and anyone else should be allowed to live their life how they want. As long as no one is getting hurt it is not my business who marries who and should not be anyone else's.
