well, any pain after sex, even the first time - pregnancy may be a possibility. and if she has any pain or infection there may be something wrong, like a pregnancy in the falipian tubes. if she has that going on she could get seiously ill. it's for her safety, and it's an obgyn's job to assume women are pregnant. the only thing that could have tipped off the doc that she may be pregnant is that when a womans egg is emplanted in the uterus, it contracts from day one. my doc once told me that he could feel my uterus contract as he felt it during a routine exam, and low and behold, i was pregnant!

Do what the doctor says. I doubt it is scar tissue. After I had sex the first time, I was sore for a couple of days, and yes, I ended up pregnant, but that was not a sign of the pregnancy. When a woman gets pregnant, lots of changes happen very quickly. Maybe she saw something, but it was subtle and only a gyno would notice it.

Hav eyou guys been using birth control? EVERY TIME? Did the doctor just start her on birth control at that appointment. It's probably just a precaution since your gf just started having sex. Wants to make sure th girl isn't already preggo, and then make sure she doesn't GET preggo.
Scar tissue? What? Did the girl say the doctor felt some kind of abnormality? That part sounds confused to me. The doctor probably doesn't think she's pregnant- again, just a precaution.
And KEEP IT SAFE, KIDS!!!
good luck

He probably saw signs of implantation. First time or not it is possible to get pregnant. As far as scar tissue women have been having sex since the beginning of time and doctors are trained to know what they are looking at. If it turns out she isn't pregnant then use proper protection and you won't have to freak out next time.

It could be if she had an internal the coloring of the cervix changes when pregnant from a fleshy pink to a purple. This may be the reasoning for the doctors worry, If she doesn't miss a period then it could be nothing but its more just a precaution. Good luck.

First of all the doctor might just want to make sure, Considering she was a virgin and I'm starting to think you didn't use any protection, Example I'm married and the first time I went to my gyno was when I started having intercourse with my hobby, They look for every thing (by the way it feels very uncomfortable when it's a guy!) but doctors check every thing, and of course it's going to be hurting her she just lost her virginity didn't she! Your going to have to wait until she takes the test. Hope every thing goes the way you want it buddy.

When you are pregnant, your cervix actually closes, so her gyno may have seen a closed cervix. They actually CAN tell just by an exam, although they will still do a pregnancy test to confirm. That is really the only thing I can think of.
Good luck to your friend!

Probably just a precaution. I suspect this friend is actually you. Just relax. If you had unprotected sex then you need to have both a pregnancy test and an std test done. Did you have blood work? Seriously relax. Nothing good can come of stressing out or freaking out. Have a lovely day.

ok first calm down!! it was her first time she could have been abit swallow and the doc was worried or the doc may have noticed that something simed different. is there a chance your girlfriend could be pregnant? did u two use anything? because if you did you could be just panicing over nothing. anyway the doc usually would check for horomoes in the urine or take a blood test to see if the horomes level was up thats wat they usually look for. am a mother myself. has she missed the period? she may not show any sign of pregnancy because it maybe to earlier. just cause they have asked for a pregnancy test doesnt mean she deafitly is. good luck. : ' )
