here is the topic thing!!!
**You are to pick a spot in this country where you believe you will reside as an adult(North Carolina). It can be anywhere in the U.S. As an adult, you will have a more valid opinion and be able to do more wtih your voice and abilities to correct issues of natural resources and what happens to them. In your words, based on upon your opinion(my opionion is not really coming out right now i don't even understand the assignment), and in one thousand words, yes this many, describe what your world is like. You are to include the factors of your resources and environment that are present and affecting your existence(what does this mean?) How will you deal with them, what can you do to improve it, and how can you live it or leave it for your future generations of chillin's that may be yours. Well, your instructor seems to have thought up a "doozy" assignment here!

I think what he/she is really looking for is for you to describe the natural resources that will be available in North Carolina and what you can do to preserve them (or not).

For instance, in your area in North Carolina, where will the water in your apartment/home come from? From a well? Maybe from a local resevoir? What can you do to conserve the water to ensure that future generations will have enough? What can you personally do to ensure that the water you use is clean and available to everyone?

Another example...Food, such as fruit and vegetables. Will you be growing your own fruit and planting trees, etc.. to ensure that you have enough food?

You should do your own homework. This is not that hard of an assignment, just look at your question. Describe what your world is like. How hard is that?? Unless you are in the 4th or 5th grade, you should know how to do this assignment.

But I am feeling generous, so here is a hint, but you should really do your own homework.

Make a chart of how the town you live in looks like. Businesses, buildings, people, etc. What resources does this town have? Does it need improvement in what areas? Just make a chart of the answers to the assignment. Then with that, write your paper. But you should cite your sources... and one of those sources would be me. lol

Wow, that's funny! It sounds like you're suppose to imagine what North Carolina will be like when you are an adult. Think about air pollution, water pollution, how many trees have been cut down.... Will there be more fuel efficient cars being used by then? Windmills? Solar panels? Or would you make those changes yourself? Think about population growth and how much more trash that will create...imagine the garbage dumps... billions of plastic diapers! Would you make recycling mandatory? In some countries it is illegal to offer customers plastic shopping bags. Shoppers have to bring their own reusable bags. Think of how bad it could get and think of how good you could make it.

Oh, and by the way... just because you are young does NOT mean your voice can't be heard. If you have a good idea that you articulate in an intelligent way, people might even respect you more than they would an adult because people tend to trust kids' motives more than the motives of an adult.
