it doesnt necessarily mean in a good way, however i was looking for positives. but if there were any revolutions, or things changing because of this extreme government i will accept anything. thanks

Yes, the extreme decadence of the last few Kings led to the Revolution, and Frances history of leaning towards the left, and towards its manual workers is a consequence of those days.
