More RAM will help, I would recommend at least 1GB. A better processor will help, but the most important thing for games is the video card. Lastly, I noticed you posted this in the notebook/laptop section, if you have a laptop keep in mind that laptops are not really good for gaming in the first place, unless you buy the REALLY expensive ones.

The answer is..... it depends. Plenty of RAM tends to speed up games by reducing the amount of hard-drive reads and writes that occur in game. Do note however, that you will often have to edit game configuration files to make the most of the new RAM. For example, Half-Life 2 (not that new) will only use about 128 Megs of RAM unless you explicitly add a line to a configuration file to get it to use more.

Assuming changing your processor and video cards are not options, you can check out the tweaking companion at http://www.tweakguides.com to help configure windows and ensure you have the maximum resources available to run the game.

Finally, you can google for tweaking guides to adjust the advanced settings of the game in question.

Your motherboardmust compatibly support your processor, your processor must support the memory capacity, and yes more RAM would help if all this complies.

better memory could help, but also you have to see if your PC can handle that much memory. a better processor is good too.
