Im so sick and tired of this war and all the other crap that has been going on. I miss my friends who have died in Iraq, and for what? There wasnt even WMD there. Im really hoping the democrats win. I wouldnt even mind if independants won, but I know thats not realistic.

Voting the person: I used to think that way too. But it seems like even when you like a person they do something that you totally disagree with because its the party line. I never used to think of myself as a democrat but im thinking that this party generally stands for the things I believe in. I mean take McCain for example. He comes out against torture and im thinking "right on." What happens? He backs a plan that gives the president the ability to define torture. I mean, what the hell is that about. If you stand for something then dont change your mind because thats the party line and you want to fit in. We need people who will vote the way they feel and not how the party tells them to feel Im so disgusted with our gov. We need a change....

If you think we needed to go to war in Iraq, esp. after North Korea and Iran are more of a threat, you need to go see a shrink.

I am voting straight party dem (though I know and like several independents running).
But it won't matter. Voter fraud and disenfranchisement is already underway.
Here in Ohio, Republican Secretary of state Blackwell who helped steal the election for Bush in his Katerine Harris dual role ,
as chief election official and co chair of re-elect Bush campaign, has purged almost a million voters (mostly dems) from the role..effectively wiping out his opponent for governor, Strickland's, 12% lead as this purged roll is about 10% of the Ohio electorate.
http://www.opednews.com/articles/genera_rob_kall_061018_ohio_lawsuit_to_rein.htm
Blackwell is running for governor and impacting his own results by this kind of trickery. So dems won't gain seats in the congress, (and other offices) I predict. Unfortunately.
Please call the representative and ask them to cosign and support HB 6200 which will make all presidential elections on paper ballots hand counted at the precinct with full transparency and vastly eliminate fraud. It will only take a minute and do more than voting probably will as if it passes, maybe more high offices will be added later.

I have always tended to vote for Democrats, mainly just because they arent all about taken the people's rights away. They believe in 'every person is created equal.' I mean what are the Republicans going to do next? Take away the right to vote?

I am not going to go down the ballot and check all the Democrat boxes just because they are Democrat. I am going to vote for the candidates that I belive will do the best job for our country (which happens to be the Democrats) and any races where I know none of the candidates or dont have enough info on them, I will check Democrat. So yeah I am. :) lol

I'm voting democrat becuase the republicans have spend so much on a war that is bound to fail. At least democrats wil oppose any war bill that Bush might try to pass and they could control his relentless spending.

The Democrats won't change anything. They can't. Same thing happened with the changing of parties in Viet Nam. Nothing changed. What makes you think the Democrats and Republicans are going to change anything? They've been running the US since before the American Civil War. Get real.

I also think it's ignorant to vote party line. You obviously have your issues that are important to you and will vote for those who share your ideas. IF someone stepped up and happened to be a republican, which you felt could have success and accomplishing things important to you, then you should vote that way. I've looked over my candidates and it looks like I'm voting for about 60% dem and 40% republican.

You are misguided, everyone hates war but it is a necessity, im voting Republican because the Dems really dont have a plan to fix things, and if the Dems do win it isnt going to solve anything it will just cause more deadlock.
