After just 3 years and less than a million deaths they are already making sounds like they want to cut and run. It's just as well they weren't in charge during World War 2, when it took 61 million deaths to defeat the last outbreak of fascism, or we would all be eating sushi and driving Toyotas.

well Toyota does rate as one of the most sold car family cars.....

Bush is a nob and wouldn't know what the hell he's doing, Blair has been forced out by his country and own party, and as for Howard, he went against his country, the majority of us never wanted our military there to begin with, so cut and run will probably be his only way of saving some seats at the next election, polls already show the opposition will have the majority seats.

The thing about it is, in WW2 the Japanese actually attacked America. The Iraqis never did, and never would have because Saddam Hussein feared Osama bin Laden as a possible hero that could upstage him in his own country. Now we are stuck in Iraq when Iran and North Korea are now presenting an actual threat to us and we can no longer answer that threat in any kind of real way except by leaving Iraq and soon. And the major problem here is that if this happens it won't be Arabic or Korean we'll be speaking, because there won't be any people hardly left on the planet. All will have been destroyed when they attempt to nuke us. All we'll have available to fight back with is our own nukes, and nuclear winter hits us all rather painfully, all because we couldn't intimidate the Iranian or North Korean presidents before they attacked.

And before you start with that whole they don't care about life so we can't intimidate them foolishness, that isn't true. Those leaders convinced their followers not to care about life so that they could maintain their own power. But they themselves care about life, both their own and their peoples (maybe not quality of life, but certainly that it continues). That is because with nothing to have power over, you have no power. And it is power that those two want, and for that matter what Bush, Blair, and Howard want as well. So those two (and Bush, Blair, and Howard) will do what it takes to keep their people alive if only to maintain their power, including avoiding wars that will end with their own destruction. Problem is, we can no longer threaten those two with wars that will end in their own destruction and they know it. Leaving Iraq can provide us with that war capability that may be the only thing that can save us now.

Yea i think Bush does, but im not sure Blair's party can stay in power, but i think the conservatives would continue the war, and well i love Howard.

It isn't the same as World War II - we shouldn't talk as if it is. We don't have the moral high ground this time the way we did when Nazism was around.
