My teachers hate me until they c my good grades they say that I'm a genious but that's not the first impresion that they get, and many people thinks like the same, me parents HATE the way that I look, but I feel that beeing a punk it's a way of expresing the way I am, and that I love that kind of music and that I don't care what people thinks about me, but any way I really want to know how do u feel about us, why does some people think that we r the bad part of society???

from my experience most of people who are doing the worst things wear business suits and carry briefcases. People made fun of me too, that will never stop. don't stop being who you are because of that, if you do they win. I like punk music and the styles of hair and clothes that go with it. your parents will get used to it. mine did. i am 31 so they've had a while to adjust. As for the people who make fun of you or look at you weird, some of them are jealous because they don't have the self esteem or courage to look the way they really want and the other ones are just boring clones of society who wear what they are told to wear and do what they are told to do and like what they are told to like. They don't matter, Ignore them, Go to college, excel at every thing you do and then you can prove to world who the real losers are.

Hey Guess what!!! Wonder how people felt us back in the 60's and 70's. It is all the same. The music is different and you are on a different path than others. Just like I use to be back in my day. If you are happy with yourself then basically, to hell with everyone else. You have the right to enjoy your music, dress the way you want and express yourself in your own way as long as it does not harm anyone else. I am 48 and I think punks, etc are fine. Would be really boring if we all were the same. Good luck and keep on doing what makes you smile, not the rest of the world. Oh by the way a old lady told me when I was younger, "If you waste your time worrying about what other people think of you, then you will have no time left for anything else in your life."

I like punk music a lot, but mainly UK stuff from the late seventies.

Sometimes people feel threatened by others who don't want to look or dress like the majority. They apparently think that you can only be a worthy member of society when you dress mainstream.

That said, by dressing as a punk and defining yourself like that, you are conforming to a group as well. Why not try and find your own unique personal style without putting a label on it? Why limit yourself by calling yourself punk?

Personally I feel more sympathy for those who dare to venture away from the trodden paths than for those who confirm to unwritten group rules.

people are going to look at you different cause it a step away from the norm. Personally I don't like the punk or goth look. does nothing for me to see a girl with a shaved head or mohawk or just wearing all black. Hell if you are doing good in school and staying out of trouble dress the way you want. When you get older and if you get a job in the real world you will look back at pic and go GOD i use to dress like that.

Thats what happens when you stand apart. Imagine if your school was filled with punks, teachers too. Think the cheerleader will fit in???? NOPE!!!! She'll be deemed a snotty, stuck up bit.ch when really she's just a happy, pretty girl who can tumble, not an awful person who is shallow but a deep thoughtful girl, who cares about people.

If you are rolling your eyes at my description of LISA the head cheerleader, you gotta understand how people feel about you.

There's nothing that is wrong with being a punk person i mean where i'm from that's the popular dress and they aren't dressed different people should not judge them by the way they look they should just let people express themselves that way... but don't worry about others if you feel comfortable then just be your self O-tay!!!!!.............

I was a punk many years ago. I think it was during a mourning period that I was going through when I lost one of my parents. That was my experience. I now dress very corporate because of what I do for a living.

I still like dark sad songs... I say be who you want! I also use to have to double prove myself because of how I looked. I think it made me stronger. POWER TO YA AND BE STRONG!
