She was being weird, rude, and laughing non stop. I think she was high. Should I mention something to my manager? I really don't appreciate coworkers calling me during non work hours (11 pm to be exact) and leaving incoherent, rude messages. What should I do?

I think I'll try to block her.

How did she get your phone number to being with? I would NEVER give out my personal number to a co-worker unless they are management and need the number in order to contact me regarding BUSINESS.

Since I am very blunt and to the point, if a co-worker did call me at home and leave a strange message, I would say something to her the next time I saw her. I would tell her not to call me on my personal number and especially don't do so leaving me irrational messages.

Did you ask your coworker why she called? You should try to tell her how you feel. If she continue sly being rude and try to call you again, you should mention to your manager but I am not sure if the manager can do anything about this since it happened after work hours and call was to your personal phone. How about try to block her number?? Good luck!

Depending on the type of phone she has, she may have called you accidentally. My name starts with "A" so people call me by accident all the time. Kind of annoying but no harm meant or done. Although I have heard a few juicy convos that weren't meant for my ears.

Next time you see her tell her what happened and tell her to put her key guard on so it doesn't happen again. If it does happen again then you may want to block her calls. And if you find out she is calling you on purpose to leave you crazy messages after you've asked her to stop, then that is harassment and you should report it to HR and the police.

Save the message and time it was given. Should you ever need this in the future while you are at that company, that is your ammunition.

If it is just one message, either ignore it or nicely ask the person not to contact you at that time in the future. If this becomes a habit, go to hr and provide for them a full history of the transgressions.

Dont block it...... just tell her that was wrong. Blocking would make the work dynamic wrong since of course she remembers. Stand up and say. Then you will have established that you are strong...... not wimping out and ignoring it.

If you have caller id, you can opt to not answer the phone. Or, turn off the phone at night so you are not disturbed.

Talk to her about it, and turn your phone off at night.

Ignore it. Life is too short for this drama.
