i would like to delete these files on my computer and would like to double check them to make sure they have beeen deleted. SUCH AS RECENT INTERNET SITES VISITED.

The two answers above are good IF you are using IE, but if you are using another browser it will be different on how to delete history.
More info. if you are not using IE pls.
also; If you have Norton System Works you can delete more files yet.

click on START, Programs, Accessories, System tools, Disk cleanup. This will not only allow you to delete them, but view them as well.
