You can make a lemon battery which will give enough current to power a small radio. You just stick two electrodes made of different metals into the lemon. A steel nail and a copper wire, or copper and zinc for instance. The more reactive metal is eaten away by the citric acid in the lemon juice as the battery delivers power. Make sure you get the polarity right. The more reactive metal (iron or zinc in these examples) is negative.
