I've heard that Massachusetts is absolutely beautiful, and if you want to tie the knot sooner than later, that's where I'd choose. You don't know how long it will last in Jersey. If you're thinking of a few years down the road, I'd say New Jersey. Depending on what town you choose to wed in, you could just go over the Tappanzee Bridge into the greatest city in all america-N.Y.C.But, of course, Mass. has P-town,

Since gay marriage isn't fully toughed out yet, it's only been deamed as Legal, but no specifics have been ironed out in New Jersey...and you have to be a resident of Massachuesttes or Rhode Island to marry in Mass.
I guess you'll just have to wait and see.
if you can't wait, try Canada or the UK!
Even so, gay marriages from those countries aren't recognized in this country.

Since you can't yet (and maybe won't be able to) get married in NJ, I guess you're stuck with Mass. Of course, to marry there, you have to be a legal resident of the state.
It's likely NJ will abide by the court decision and introduce a separate but equal system like CA - domestic partnerships.
What they SHOULD do but WON'T do, is replace all references to marriage in state law with 'civil union' to which all couples would be entitled, and leave the tired old word 'marriage' to the tired old Christians.
The first state to allow gay marriage without a residency requirement will make a FORTUNE on the tourism and wedding business!

If you live in New Jersey, wait until the law gets totally approved and then get married there since they will recognize your union. If you live in another state (other than MA or NJ), then it really won't matter where you get married.

Well, you're gonna have to wait 180 days to see if New Jersey is going to give full marriage rights. Even if so, it willl just be state rights, not federal.
