I saw that movie so many years ago. I can't believe other people out there know it. I remember the box cover of the VHS (see how old school i'm talkin') was a woman with a huge butcher knife behind her back and there was a cake in front of her. I knew this was going to be some sort of slasher movie.
It was cheesy but, a good take on the early horror/slasher movies.
I thought the ending paid off for watching it.

The movie starred THEE worst actress of all time....Deborah Foreman. The girl couldn't act her way out of a paper bag! She always plays the part of a nut (except in "Valley Girl"). The movie also starred Ryan Oneal's talentless son Griffin. When I first saw "April Fool's Day" I knew who the killer was right from the beginning because the movie was so predictable & poorly made. The "scares" don't come along until the last 30 minutes of the movie. God, what a waste of celluloid!

I loved that movie. I seem to remember that it was more of a black comedy/thriller rather than a straight up horror flick. I lthought the hangman's noose braided into the hair of the woman on the slip cover for the video was hysterical.
