Yes it is normal. Also you may start to feel the stretching of round ligaments that support the uterus, as they stretch (like a rubber band) during pregnancy.

Hi there Darling, It is normal to have a hard feel tummy although every pregnancy is different, I have had 4 children and only had a hardish tummy with 2 of them and the where boys wink wink, anyway its normal but if you feel funny and notice any changes your not sure of just contact your midwife, doctor or nurse i'm sure they will be happy to offer you professional advise.
Take care and enjoy your pregnancy i made a scrap book so i could remember all those times i felt like crap.

yes, it's perfectly normal. I just had my kid 3 months ago and the doc told me when I was 8 weeks pregnant that it was normal for my belly to be hard. He said it was the body's natural way of protecting itself while it is carrying a child inside.

Yep. I just started noticing mine around 13 weeks... although it was low between the belly button and the pelvic bone. Good luck and congrats hun!

I wouldn't say that it is abnormal. Your belly is just probably starting to stretch and the skin has tightened up. Your skin will get more elasticity as you become more pregnant. Don't worry and just for future reference, ask your doctor when it comes to any complications or worries about you pregnancy. Good Luck!

Most definantly! Your uterus has sealed itself off so there can be a sterile environment for your baby. Not to mention the uterine wall have to be tight and strong, so as your baby grows, you will still be able to carry the baby. I noticed both times right away!

it's very normal, it's the uterus growing. i'm 38 weeks pregnant myself. wait till you get there and you get to feel you're baby move!!!! Congratulations!!!
