I am so sick with morning sickness (it is all day long) but I have not thrown up yet, I am holding it in. I was just wondering if it helps, or will it just get worse because I really hate puking! I am scared to throw up, but if it will help with the nasea i will do anything. Or if you have any ideas on how to help the neasea go away! Thanks

Know the feeling!! Throw up! It usually made it better for me...ask your doctor about taking Dramamine 3 times a day...that stopped me from feeling sick most of the time and I was hospitalized for dehydration in my early pregnancy. Non-medical, try extra B6, in addition to your vitamin, whcich you should take at night, and also ginger root extract, both to be found at Walgreens. Sea-bands didn't work for me but worked for my friend. Eat something really small at least every two hours...sip warm ginger-ale all day long in between sips of water.

When I was pregnant I had morning sickness all day and up until I delivered. I found that throwing up got rid of the stomach acid and then I had a few crackers to absorb the rest. One of the things that I found was that meat made the nausea worse. See if there is a certain food that triggers the nausea.

I have the same problem. I am sure you would feel better if you threw up but if your body isn't making you throw up on it's own don't force it but don't force yourself not to either. Talk to your doctor about getting you some nausea pills. My doctor gave me Metoclopramide which you are suppose to take 1 every 6 hours. But i only take them when my nausea is at it's worst. The doc also said to minimize morning sickness eat small and frequent meals, avoid spicy foods, keep saltines and ginger ale handy to settle your tummy and follow a BRAT (broth, rice, applesauce and toast. Vitamin B6 and Ginger have been known to improve nausea.

Oh my God I hate throwing up too! I am so sorry you are feeling this way. I would drink some 7up or some ginger-ale to help you burp. It could be that you are gassed up. I would also try eating like a cold fruit like an apple or pear it will help settle and sooth your stomach. You have to eat and keep drinking fluid to stay hydrated. I wish you the best.

Never hold your throw up down. When you throw up, you are expelling whatever is making you nausea.

A good home remedy is salt and water. Boil a cup of water to sterilize it and add about 3/4 teaspoon of salt. Allow it to melt and let cool to a warm temp, then drink. It will soothe your stomach and/or help you get rid of whatever is making you sick. My mom use this remedy on her 8 kids over a 36 year period, always worked.

It really depends with two of my pregnancies once I threw up I was fine the rest of the day. With one I was just sick in the morning but didn't have to throw up. With two of them I was sick all day no matter what I did.

Don't throw up! It's really bad for your baby if you can't keep food and nourishment down and bad for your teeth too. Hope it gets better for you. My morning sickness went away at about 13-14 weeks. Good luck!!!
