A.) Help her more around the house. My mom did go on strike once and I found out that I could do laundry and do dishes.

Been there, on your side and hers.
But, more importantly, she needs to know people understand how she feels.
Everyone needs to figure out how much they've got on each of their own plates.
Then, a fair plan needs to be put in place.
I recently was staying with my father and his GF as I relocated three hours away from my old home.
His girlfriend wanted help and moaned constatnly that I did so little, but would become irate if I didn't do things her way. She also assumes that everyone has the same common sense as she does, about cleaning and most other parts of life. There was no winning with her.
However, when my father gave me a clear request, I did exactly as he asked! He was CLEAR!
So, if she's already been clear and fair, then you've got to help.
If not, you're going to be back to Square One,
and it's not your fault.

a. help more around the house because when mom is gone your going to miss them hot meals, her pampering u when your sick and most of all her cookies
