Um, well, for one thing, we can sure use a good, stable ally in that region. If Afghanistan and Iraq are both stable democracies and our allies, I think it helps keep Ahmadinejad in Iran in line. Not to mention, if we just left Iraq in the shape it's in now, terrorists would have full control of all of Iraq's oil money...NOT A GOOD THING. As it is now, the new government is trying to work it out where the oil money goes to the Iraqi people, not just into the hands of one evil dictator or to a group of Islamic jihadists.

Yes that is true it is important. If we leave now, it will come under terrorist control and to top that they will have all that oil money. Iran and Iraq would then join as one and buy nukes or make them, and we will be the one of the first countries they attack. It is to bad that if elected the Libs and Dem's will cut and run. God forbid they win anything. I will be very very scared if this country elects them, we will have a all out Nuclear war!!!! And we will be attacked first because they really do not have the balls to stop anyone from harming us!

No but I can tell you why it is vital to the interests of the American political elite who do not represent the ideals nor interests of the people they serve.
Iraq serves as a power check by the political elite to ensure American dominance in the world. Iraq will be used as a staging point for operations in Iran and agitating and weakening post-Soviet Russia. It will also keep the EU from over taking the OPEC. Now that the USA has Saudi Arabia and Iraq in it's pockets it has ensured the existence of American imperialism for a while longer.

It's not. Bush just wants the American public to think that it does. Terrorism has risen 300% world wide since Bush illegally invaded Iraq. That sure doesn't make me feel any safer, how about you?

Sure. Bush created a governmant 25% larger than the LIBERAL president had before him. And now he needs to justify that expense. If we weren't at risk, he wouldn't be justified. So we must remain at risk....at all costs.

Nope. Bush is an idiot. He invaded the only "axis of evil" country that is not developing/testing nuclear weapons. That was a brilliant move!

I can't tell you, because it isn't...
But the statement is from Bush and he thinks it is, and right now that is what matters.

One would have to start with a premise that the terrorists are actually interested in killing Americans.
