think it makes women feel like victoms all the time and keeps them sheltered, afraid of the world and glued to the sofa.
I know, because my mother watches it day and night and actually believes in all the negative stuff that they show on there.
I think lifetime was meant and made to brainwash women....
anyones elses POV on Liftime? or do you feel the same way..... or maybe you think im insane..... O.o

but the WE and Oxygen chanels are dedicated to women and they dont send out the same messages as liftime does.... I think I see some victims in here, espescially the ones that say: "they're true stories!" they're NOT TRUE!

why should I broaden my horizons to such negativity. why should I be open minded to believing that the world is out to get me. since thats what Liftime wants you to think.

My god, my mom too! I HATE Lifetime! Women are more than rape victims, abused wives, and knocked-up teens. Women are not JUST vistims. Give us some f**k'en credible for goodness sakes! I am completely with you! It shouldn't be called a women's network, it should be called the victims and fear-of-life network.

Everyone has a right to think and believe in what they choose. You choose to not like Lifetime channel. Well me too, but I could really careless about it all. Some stories from what I have seen are based on true stories but of course it all isn't true. Not to sure about the brain washing but I'm sure it is true that some women love the channel.

I only like to watch the true-to-life stories on Lifetime, because they allow me to know about situations that women can find themselves in. Not all the shows are edifying....but it's really up to the viewer and how emotional they want to get about a particular show.
P.S. You're not insane...you just have an opinion :o)

Lifetime does show a lot of movies showing women as victims, but you need to remember that most of their movies are based on true stories and actual cases. They show a lot of positive movies as well. I'm a big fan of lifetime and I'm glad they have a channel that is dedicated to women's issues. You should be too. Try to be more open-minded!!

Lifetime is mostly about true life situations based on real stories. This stuff happens in life and it's a good way to broaden your horizons. I'm thinking that wouldn't hurt you a bit.

I've never indulged in any lifetime movies cuz they're boring. Basically people can get addicted to anything...even a crappy channel like lifetime. I guess some people need the drama.

Sometimes, they have really good movies on. But most of them are about helpless, defenseless females. And I must admit, it is really annoying. And don't you think they need to update it some? They're still showing movies that they were showing when I was a kid. Like, 13 years ago.

I don't know its ridiculous. It's a crappy channel about making women victims of all sorts of crimes, however when it comes down to it 80% of crime in the U.S. is targeted against males.
