the vagina is a very elastic little bugger. you may notice some increase in size after the delivery, but it will go almost back to normal after a while, especially considering the fact that you will probably be too tired to get cuddly all that often for atleast the first six months. you really shouldn't stress the change in size unless it is A LOT, then you can talk to your doctor about Kegel exercises (exercises for your vaginal muscles). you would tighten them like you are trying to stop going pee and release. you would do a few sets a day for a few weeks and it will help. another bonus to those, they are good if you have urniary incontinence after the baby is born. they help with that, also.

YES. Don't listen to these dumb people who say other wise. they are either uneducated or trying to scare you.
It might not be the as perfect as before but for the most part it will go back to normal. Your vagina is meant to stretch. Unless you have extreme complication during delivery (which can cause for vaginal reconstruction) then i wouldn't worry about it. Doing kegel exercises will help the tightening process.

After stretching a rubberband, does it go back to its original shape??? The answer is yes. If a doctor tells u differently, ignore him, the problem is that many doctors want to do a c section becuz its a lot quicker...Do what makes u feel comfortable and what's good for ur baby...if the doctor says there is a complication, get the facts and ask why and ask for him to show u where he sees the problem...don't go by his word or ask for a second or even third opinion.

I'll answer them in man's perpective. Yes, they do somehow back to normal state. I was somewhat a little bit concerned before when my wife and I tried doing it the first time after giving birth and I would say, it was a relief. Her vagina was right on the money.

Yes. Kegel Excercises can help.

Benefits for women

Factors such as pregnancy, childbirth and being overweight often result in the weakening of pelvic muscles. Kegel exercises are useful in regaining pelvic floor muscle strength in such cases. Regular Kegel exercise can also increase sexual pleasure for females and their partners. After childbirth, practicing pelvic floor contractions during sexual intercourse with a male partner will allow the woman immediate feedback from her partner, who can tell her whether or not he can feel her muscles tightening around his penis. In this manner, a newly postpartum woman can retrain her pelvic floor muscles to their pre-pregnancy strength and tone.

It loosens very little, but I haven't seen a difference and I've had two kids in the past 3 years.
Kegels are very important to prevent incontinence during and after the birth.

Yes the vagina goes back to normal very quickly, its if you tear it takes time for that to repair itself after been stitched, I tore with birth my kids and found after the first baby they stitched to high and it made sex feel like my first time over and over, as it was stitched high it tore after intercourse then repaired itself. After my daughters birth my husband asked them not to stitch to high and it was all perfect. Just like new. This is what women are made of so don't stress.

I don't think it goes exactly "back to normal", there will always be a difference, but the difference will be unnoticable. As in, when you are able to have sex again, it won't be like a stick dropping into a canyon.
