My car starts and then it goes dead and its draing the battery also.My car has a full tank of gas.I have replaced the fuel pump,fuel filter.All this I replaced 4 days ago.My car will start then goes dead can anyone tell me the what is the problem?Do I need to replace the fuel pump.I went up under the car and I tapped the gas tank with my hand as my brother started the car and it started right after that it went dead again what maybe the problem.

It really sounds like filter.. I know you said it was replaced. Some cars have two.. Like one inside the tank. Take fuel line off at carb. after it dies. Turn it over and see if there is fuel there. That should tell the story.

My guess would be an ignition relay problem. There are other things as well. Most of which are cheaper to fix (oxygen sensor,exhaust sensor etc.) The only real way to tell is to have the cars computer checked (it could be the problem too.)
Consider used parts instead of new for some of these the savings are huge.

I'd be interested to know why you replased those parts in the first place. Did you have starting problems before? I gather the car is cranking but not starting. Check the distributor, wires, plugs to make sure everything is connected.

you have an electrical short, pull your negative side batt cable .take a test light clip one end to terminal pointed end to batt it will probably light up start pulling one fuse at a time untill light goes out might even have to pull alt or starter wires to find your short
