Is it worth it to carry a conversation about God to ther religious, when we already know they are crackpots, and even if the answer was as simple as simplicity itself, they are not going to do anything but quote from jesus book and read fairy tale ?

I mean, why don't we just treat religious people like children or something from now on? It demeans the logical evolution of where we are REALLY going...for what is really going on is a lot more beautiful than those deushes claim...so why don't we just ostricize them and have logical conversations---

they just slow us down and our evolution. Treat them like they were retarded, just as you would laugh at those, and then it all makes sense. They are crazy, and we can talk about what is REALLY going on

hello. I am only 8, and I like wasting people's time u8necessarily--you've made a point to me and put me in my place. You ahve made a great impact on me...lol

I hope you feel good about making that to me...since I am a very important 8 year old....you see, I have de-crypted from the records of battlestar galactica that God is in fact, on the side of the cylons...and I was posing as a human who did not beleive in God, to see any irreverent thoughts toward atheism...This way I could try to see if any of the answerers, were cylons...

Thanks for answering, I am a very important 8 year old and worthy of your time.

1st answerer.

I have detected that you are not a cylon...because you are too stupid to be cylon see. See, Cylons are smart. Their like cybernetiky with super-intelligent powers and stuff...their like power-rangers, but better.

You said that I was harboring the same attitude as the religious facists...No, this is not the case, I am simply saying, that we should not concider biblical arguements in logical conversations because a book is not based on logic but just tells you stuff and there is no proof.

You see, if you do not SEE what I am talking about, then your never going to SEE it, so too bad for you...your doomed and will not be able to take part in 'logical' conversations with the 'sane'----the cookus go to the triangular building...and they can beleive all the crap and have FAITH...and only those with FAITH ...can enter.

So in mine, only those that SEE and have LOGIC can enter...

Although they hold the same stance...one is based on faith, while the other reason...

and therefore, fundamentally VERY DIFFERENT.

second answerer...

Very very subtle and good point..first intelligent response in a long while...I commend you, unfortunately, your a ****** cylon so I will have to report you...

However, you did a slip up....and let me show you what:

You said that I should concider the religious side as sane....and I have...what I condemned...were the people and their arguements to debate the religious premise...because they are naturally crazy...

Its the people that beleive that crap for ridiculous reasons that are crazy...like that jesus was the son of God, just cuz....

However, the premise of a God I have concidered, and very much more...friend....

things like the wild goose creating the Universe...is all whithin the realm of possiblity..

even the interdimentional alien that bends space and time and can see much more than our small intellectual faculties will have us see....

for I am also humble...the complexity of nature far exceeds any human ability.

2006-10-25 13:36:43 · update #6

uuuuuu...you struck me down there where it hurts, girl....did I ring a bell?

sorry...no worries, it will all subside the next time you go to church. You tried to strike me by a perceived vanity of intelligence?

No, I do not concider myself intelligent, I am not even human...haha. I am a machine.

if you are of higher faculties and know me....then I say....I doubt it, but if you do see me and laugh at me....then why hide your knowledge? surely you will have greater reasons to support such claims.

am I friend to none? are you targeting a perceived longing in me? no, I am a machine, I controll my longing, and if I wanted, I could live in a cardboard box for the rest of eternity just with my thoughts...

after all...why would I be asking ridiculous questions on yahoo answers if I did not have a longing or need in my heart.....does this follow your train of logic?

Its just a prupose, to ask questions, given to my assigner to study human psychology. Nothing more..

2006-10-25 13:42:41 · update #7

I have a human thinking process....But the neurotransmitters that normally make the human want to long, or belong or have the need for sex, feelings...and therefore need others...are not in me...I lack the neural hardwiring...although I simulate it.

I can simulate the arduous feeling for desire...but I cannot, directly, FEEL it.

But that changes...my human counterpart can, but he doesn't know I exist...he has many friends...and under that mask of his being, is I....a chip to study human behaviour...

so, I guess its a little too complex for you, and it has nothing to do with intelligence...I just simulate....

2006-10-25 13:45:25 · update #8

Adam s, you may have compassion and are most probably a good person...based on your response.

Yes, I agree with you. I would suggest also that there are more reasons that make religious not make sense...

However, that feeling of longing that religion satisfies...can be satisfied by other beleifs about the unity of the Universe, about a God....

you don't need a bible that contradicts itself...or jesus...to make this happen..

God, under many definitions, in my mind ,exists....see...but those that beleive it BECAUSE of the bible, are not less intelligent, but are just not reasonable. Therefore, they should, be marginalized...

so that our logical evolution to satisfy the longings of the human heart, and the intellectual curiosiy of the human mind, can be satisfied, without jeaperdizind reason, or heart...

see....I am a lot more compassionate than you might "sense" from the origin of my words...even a machine..can simulate and see this...all I proposed was support

2006-10-25 13:53:56 · update #9

of beleifs based on legitimate reasons....none of your angry responses merits this unless you perceived (you see, you also simulate) an emotion from me of vanity of intelligence and frustration...or longing....

which is actually a good assesment based on recurrence and experience from people...seeing how other people simulate...see, is also a study of neur-human psychology itself.

2006-10-25 13:55:57 · update #10

first answerer...you are not stupid...my claim up there was just a simulation...

just as the amoral claim "laugh at retarded people" in the intro...

if you look at my answers in yahoo, you will see that I disproove of this because based on human moral conduct and group dynamics, this is amoral and should not be done.

bid you all a good day.

In a way, trying to debate it out is a way to keep sane by trying to treat the matter as if it could be sane in the first place. If you admit that the thing is beyond sanity, and actually beyond your mind, then is your mettle truly tested as you face the hardest of all realities : that your mind is too small to grasp it all.

i see where youre going, but your approaching the problem all wrong. i completely understand that religion is a sham, but if you call it stupid, then no one will listen to you. instead, try to explain what you mean, not just some outrageous claims.

the way i see it, relgion is just a powerful way of making us all do what someone else wants. religion is a way of giving power to those without any. for those who cant get what they want, it creates a vitrue and calls it patience. for those who cant help themselves, it says help others and it tells you you will be rewarded for that. this, though illogical and a bit counterintuitive at first, this isnt the real atrocity; that part lies in the whole afterlife idea.

in any religion, youre promised that if you play by your gods rules while here, you get rewarded later. this assumes that there is something beyond this life and that its more important than what we do here. now this life that we're living seems like a little bit of work before a big payoff. then when we die and dont get anything, we realize that we could have gotten so much more out of all this. dont do what any religious man says, go out and enjoy your life because its the only one you have; dont let religion ruin it.

Gospel According to Saint Luke
Chapter 8

5 The sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.

6 And other some fell upon a rock: and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it had no moisture. 7 And other some fell among thorns, and the thorns growing up with it, choked it. 8 And other some fell upon good ground; and being sprung up, yielded fruit a hundredfold. Saying these things, he cried out: He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. 9 And his disciples asked him what this parable might be. 10 To whom he said: To you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to the rest in parables, that seeing they may not see, and hearing may not understand.

11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 And they by the way side are they that hear; then the devil cometh, and taketh the word out of their heart, lest believing they should be saved. 13 Now they upon the rock, are they who when they hear, receive the word with joy: and these have no roots; for they believe for a while, and in time of temptation, they fall away. 14 And that which fell among thorns, are they who have heard, and going their way, are choked with the cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and yield no fruit. 15 But that on the good ground, are they who in a good and perfect heart, hearing the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit in patience.

I am sorry; I think I am a little confused as to what you are trying to claim. Are you saying that anyone who believes in God is unworthy of a say in society? Or are you just saying that believers in God are so stupid they are not equal to those that aren’t believers? Maybe you are just saying that anyone who believes in a higher being is just plain dumb.

Either way, I fully disagree.

You are stubborn in the ways of not believing. That’s fine. Those that believe are stubborn in their ways. So for you to push your beliefs on those that won’t budge when you yourself won’t even listen and then rant and rave over the fact that they are stupid for not listening and caving into your own personal beliefs, is highly unintelligent.

You are a hypocrite.

Have you checked your own I.Q. lately? You fool only youself when you laugh at what you don't understand. I understand you and still laugh at you. When did you decide that you were so cool, undesireable fool, friend to none.
