The vestibule --
The vestibule is the space between the teeth and gum and the lips and cheek. It is bounded anteriorly and laterally by the lips and cheeks and posteriorly and medially by the teeth and gums. The vestibule contains the termination (opening) of the long parotid duct.
The oral cavity is bounded anteriorly and laterally by the teeth and gums, superiorly by the hard palate, inferiorly by the tongue and sublingual structures, and posteriorly by the palatoglossal and palatopharyngeal arches.
