If you can predict that, you can get rich. It is just like the weather, nobody can accurately predict it.

Those are unpredictable, not even like the weather, for the simple fact that we can predict the weather to an extent. Solar flares are completly unpredictable. All we can do is study in the past tense how often they have occured to even get a idea of how often they strike. Also did you know we get hit everyday by them, but our atmosphere and eletromagnetic shield protects us from harmful ones.
Other wise you might be able to "Flame on" or turn into one of the Fantastic Fours

Nobody knows for certain. That's why they have sun-watching satellites like SOHO and the most recent satellites they put up this week. By watching the sun, we can get a couple of days warning of CMEs coming towards us.
