Yes, but they will never win any presidential elections. Third party candidates do serve one important purpose: They force the two big parties to discuss issues that they wouldn't discuss otherwise.

We would be better off without them. The chances of them winning an election are slim, they can be the deciding votes in close elections.

More, especially if they had the money behind them to be serious contenders. A little more competition/choice would have to be a good thing.
