I have a class 4 felony for distribution of pot out of colorado. Now i know some people say that you can not vote with a felony but others have told my it depends on the class of felony. Can someone tell me if i am allowed to register to vote and what web sites might tell me this. I now live in Texas.

Good news for you. Check out this website and scroll down to Tejas. Apparently, your voting rights in Texas are restored upon the full completion of your sentence, including probation or parole.

Not only would I check with the board of elections, I would also check with the local democratic party as it is more likely to be republicans who want to take your right to vote and lie like the mighty Texas Strike force did here in Ohio

felons who are not in jail are allowed to vote in Ohio but these guys in article tried to scare them off.

Check the local county voter registration website where you live. Usually you need to apply to have voting rights restored.

Talk to a voting adminstration. It depends on where you live. I have also heard that you can regain your voting privledges after 9 years

No one checks this, so if you register to vote you will get to vote.
