First of all, think of the comedic value - Vinnie Jones pulling out a little pack of pink Kleenex. Secondly, if I have to see another player blow their nose on the floor I will kill somebody. I play football, so I can understand the spitting to some extent - just not why the cameras ALWAYS cut to whatever player happens to be doing it at that time.

Of course, there's nothing like going to a game and seeing it in person. It's like they wait until you look at them.

Its part of the game no-one really likes to see, but unfortunately the players won't stop. They want to clear themselves out, and they're not thinking of the spectator when they do it. I hate seeing it on TV but when I'm on the pitch on a saturday, I'll spit on the floor, because there's nothing worse than hot saliva in your mouth, but blowing your nose is taking it a bit too far.
The only way it can be avoided is less close-ups of players on TV,

We're gonna have to accept that its part of the game that can't be changed. A bit like swearing next to microphones next to the pitch, watching the FA Cup 3rd round on a sunday afternoon on BBC2, for a player to start f-ing and blinding, whilst your kids are watching.

LOL @ the image of players busting out a tissue traveling pack from their pockets and blowing their nose on the pitch. That's a good laugh.
The nose blowing is pretty gross. They always do it and the camera men always just NEEDS to show us.
