Given 40 years the government will have worked out a way of denying Internet access to the home user (probably by taxing it out of affordability) .

Do you think the government likes the fact that anyone can find whatever information they need about any subject at the touch of a button ? I don't think so !

So yahoo and the likes will be history .

In 40 years from now, Yahoo will be 40 years older than it is now, and be filled with 40 years of awesomeness. It would look real spangly and it would know what question ur thinking before you do, then it would answer questions for you making u look all clever and awesome. Oh year and lots of shiny silver glittery stuff, also yahoo will most likely rule over something or other. Yahoo answers may become the ultimate source of knowledge so long as the answer is Yahoo. Hehe god knows but we'll find out eventually, thats if yahoo is still about. Have fun and take care.

I think mankind will return to traditional values, spurning technology and its impersonal nature.
People will sit around log fires chanting and playing simple instruments as children dance and frolic, safe in the knowledge that war is over.
I think Yayhoo! will exist but it will be hand-fashioned from oak, cut in quarters to reveal its medillary rays (they look like shadowy fingers).
A liberal application of boiled linseed oil then buffed with a lint-free urchin willl have it positively gleaming.
Every yurt will have one and it will be revered.

Since we will be using sentient organic quantum computers that have free will, Yahoo answers will not exist as such, machines will answer any and all questions before us puny mortals can think of them. All we will be good for is pick the cotton.

We will have so little freedom of speech that YA will serve no purpose as there will no longer be any controversial answers permitted.
