Battle of the bands?

How should I go about planning this? It'll be a fundraiser for a local charity and I'm doing it through my school. It's scheduled for December 8th. Is that too early for the work that has to be done? Any advice?

starting asking for a place to hold it now...then book it so you can tell people ASAP...before you kno it it will be thanksgiving and there will be no time for anything...goodluck
