4(x+2) - 3x = x-6
4x + 8 - 3x = x -6
4x - 3x = x - 14
x = x-14
x - x = -14
0 = -14
There can be no solution as we get 0 = -14. It shows that this equation is impossible

First get rid of parentheses:
4x+8-3x=x-6
Then move all the terms of x to one side and all the constants to the other. Here you subtract x and 8 from each side:
4x-3x-x=-6-8
0=-14
Which is a false statement. Therefore, there is no real solution.

first you have to multiply 4 by x and then 4 by 2 which gives you
4x + 8 -3x= x-6 then you have to get x by itself to you would subtract x from the right side and to even out the equation you have to subtract x from the other side too which gives you 4x +8 -3x-x=-6
then subtract 3x from 4x which gives you x +8 -x=-6 then you need to continue to get x by itself and subtract 8 from the left side which gives you x-x=-6-8 then you solve those to get -1x=-14 so then you need to get x alone without a number in front of it so you divide by -1 which gets x by itself then since you want the equation to be balanced you have to do it to the other side also and when you divide a negative by a negative you get a possitive so x=14 . . . .i hope that that helped you

4(x+2)-3x = x-6
First Distribute
4x + 8 - 3x = x-6
Now combine the x's on the left
x + 8 = x-6
Next get the x's to one side
8 = -6
This means there is no solution.

This may not be solved unless you believe that x + 8 = x - 6

get all the x's on one side and the numbers and the other. Then evaluate each side separately. Then solve for x
