Yes, I know I asked a similar question before, please indulge me. He appeared on the Net in a testimonial for a company, in which his own company was mentioned. So I emailed him. How would you react?

POLITELY. Get to know each other, then take it from there. It's nice to know that you have some sort of (positive) background information on him via the testimonial. I'll be happy if you two hook up and end up in a substantial friendship. The end justifies the means!

Although I can approach being open and candid, I am one to be cautious of unsolicited email inquiries. With all of the problems in cyberspace, I would be very skeptical. Personally, I would think it was the result of some sort of spam or other undesirable byproduct.

That, in my humble opinion makes you shallow at best and a gold digger at worse; Or worst still, you may be a combination of the two. None of the above options are appealing in the slightest.

Please indulge you? Ok. I would think you were pathetic and desperate. You've never met him and you have no idea who this guy is (if he is even real). I'm telling you....most of these "testimonials" are scams. The people don't exist.
