How old are these two? I'm sure you can get rid of the boyfriend since you have absolutely no need to house the boy. Perhaps if you put it to them that the boy must go, your daughter will be inclined to leave with him, so you won't have to directly evict her as well.

You should sit them down and give them a deadline to move out. Tell them you're giving them this warning so they can save money for the move. Then, on moving day, whether they're ready or not, have a few folks show up to assist them in getting their things out of the house and ask them where they want them left.

I had to use tough love on my middle child. I had given him a deadline to either start paying all his own expenses or move out. He was working full time at a good job, so he had money, but he saved nothing. Regardless, I made him move out on the deadline. He screamed, ranted and called me names, but he did move out. Today, he's much more responsible, watches his money, is self-supporting and more serious about his career than ever. I'll send him help financially for unexpected bills like an emergency room admission, but other than that, he takes care of himself. I had to pull a 'sink or swim' scenario with this child, but it was the best thing in the long run.

You have every right to kick them out of your house. I suggest giving them a warning. For example, you have 1 or 2 (which ever you decide and stick with it) weeks to find full time employment, start helping around the house, pay a rent to you, or they will have to find somewhere else to live. Put a Calendar on the frig and let them see that days are counting down.
You could actually go as far as having a letter typed up stating the length of time they have to comply, the conditions required to continue staying in your home, and what will happen if conditions are not met.(be sure to include all dates) Then you , your daughter, and the worthless boyfriend sign it. If they don't agree to sign it, make another condition -- -make where they have to 2 days in which to find somewhere else to go and that they must leave your home. And, if they don't, you will have them physically removed with their belongings and all.

It depends on how old your daughter is. If she's at least 18, you CAN evict her. It'll teach her important life lessons. Eviction will be more than enough motivation to get a full-time job. The age of her boyfriend doesn't even matter. He's not related to you, and doesn't even belong in the house. He has no right to be there. You can evict him whenever you want.

Tell them you need your privacy and they need to leave by the end of the month. If they don't, call the cops. They don't pay rent, do they? If not then eviction isn't done. Its up to you to put your foot down, even if they kick and threaten to never speak to you again, tell them that at your age you need to have a peaceful environment and that they are up all night and home all day, and I bet they expect you to buy food and pay all the bills on you and you just aren't up for that anymore. If you lay like a doormat, someone is gonna walk on you.

if you are not renting to them and do not have them on papers saying they help pay the bills you can write up an eviction notice have it singed in front of a notary by you and your kid give them 30 days to be legal. after 30 days ( day 31) change all the locks put there stuff out in the garage to pick up. if they give you hard time you have a noterized piece of paper and can take them to court for tresspassing. You spoiled your daughter and boyfriend by not making them be responsible for there share of the bills or for there own lifes.

I would guess you've already talked, shouted, etc with them and they are still there and why not. Change the locks tell them to take their stuff and leave as they're not coming back in.
Easy for us to say that but what other option do you have. Wait till there is a child? Then you really will be trapped.

Do it tomorrow, talking isn't going to change anything except you'll just be that much further behind.

Yes it is possible. Go to court and file eviction papers, have someone else serve them depending on your state laws you have to serve them a 30 day notice for non payment before you file your eviction papers, so yes you can get those lazy folks out of your house legally

When they are both gone change the locks and start packing their stuff up. When they can't get in they will get the message. when they come back and their stuff is in trash bags out front they will get it again.

I see no reason you have to evict them just throw them out.

Personally I would sit them down and lay down the law with them. One month to get better jobs/more work and get their own place. Then I would tell them after a month they are out and the locks will be changed etc.

If your daughter is 18, in the state of Florida you can evict her, however if she is under 18 then you should be arrested for allowing her boyfriend to move in with her.

As far as I know, you can kick the boyfriend out no matter what since he isn't your responsibility. If your daughter is over 18, she is a legal adult and can also be sent packing. It must be difficult to be this desperate but sometimes forcing them to make it on their own is the only chance you have left to get them to grow up.
