There are several great places around the country where you can go riding.
I learn't to ride in the Mendip and Blackdown Hills in Somerset, fanastic countryside and great stretches for cantering and galloping.
Oher great places are the Lake District, North Wales, the Highlands, Dartmoor, Exmoor, I could go on and on! Why not try them all?!
For a list of approved riding schools in these areas, check out the British Horse Society website: http://www.bhs.org.uk/content/App-home.asp

It has got to be Springhill Farm in North Wales, The location is stunning and the horses are great in an undiscovered tranquil area.

As long as the weather is fine, you can't really beat Wales for all the things you want. Especially North Wales - or at least around and above the Aberystwyth area.
