When I refer to stopping source, I mean the "parent" of all sources. This seems to be illogical and self-contradictary to many scientific thinkers.

Martin, all I'm saying is that science itself seems self-contradictary. Evolutionists and creationists try to explain how the universe began, but some people cannot picture anything before the universe that has not had a beginning. That is why I ask this question. It doesn't matter if it's physics or God that came before the beginning.

The term is cause and effect. Scince can work it's wat back to just after the Big Bang and evaluate everything in terms of cause and effect (it doesn't mean that we will find the cause of each observed effect) as far back as "Planck time". Anything prior to Planck time is open to speculation, but not subject to scientific evaluation.

You sound more like metaphysical than scientific. Maybe you should look into mysticism.

I am confused, but you are asking about what may have been the Big Bang.
