During the day, do you like your living room drapes open for sunlight or closed for privacy?

They should be closed all the time as I am given to wild running through the house, laughing merrily, trying not to skitter on the kitchen floor. But, many times they are open and I do it anyway, crouching in the hall, counting down 3,2,1 GO DAMMIT!! WHEEE!!

Open for sunlight! But I don't have particularly noisy neighbors, nor do I live on a busy street. And of course I'd close them for privacy if I was doing something I'd want privacy for.

depends on the time of year. During the winter, open to let in the sunlight to help heat the house. Summer, CLOSED to keep the heat out.

However, in the winter, they are closed at night to help keep the heat IN.

Open! For the light. I dislike them closed during the day and no one can see inside during the day anyway unless they are right up at the window.

Open in the afternoons, when everyone is sure to be dressed. But I close again by sundown, so that the lights we turn on in the house will not "backlight"/spotlight us to the neighbors. I live in a rough neighborhood, though.

I leave them open all the time. I don't care if my snoopy neighbor sees me vacuum in the nude or make love to my wife on a bear skin rug while several friends cheer us on and take photographs.

I am not responsible for other people's hang ups.
