Was adding more oil to the engine and forgot to put on the cap on and revved the engine for a little bit will there be any damage to the car.

only if there is no oil in the engine can you really do any damage. you probably made a little mess under the hood ,just re-check your oil level and make sure you put back your oil cap after filling.

As long as you didnt lose all the oil, then no. I had an improperly installed oil filter fall off once and seized the engine- and that did get expensive for the oil place that did the poor quality work.

No, if you fixed the problem quickly. It takes a while to push enough oil out of the valve cover to cause engine damage. STAY MOTIVATED

take it to a self serve car wash and wash the engine or go get some engine cleaner at you parts store. But remember to cover your dist. cap with a plastic bag so you don't get it wet. That should do the trick.

Other than the potential for a mess from the oil filler hole, not likely to have caused any serious damage.

No, it's made to just keep the oil in the container and keep from water and foreign matter getting into it. You should be fine.

usually some oil wont blow out the filler hole...hope you put more in before running too long....
