Reading often will not only increase your vocabulary, but also improve your spelling. Reading the dictionary is a great idea, I find it to be very interesting.

Read books, novels for entertainment. They are fun to read, far more absorbing and more convenient than movies and as a nice side effect the practice improves spelling, punctuation and vocabulary.

When you study your words, look at them,say them and spell them. Then close your eyes and do the same. Then write the word down as you say and spell it in your mind.

1. learn how to properly spell the words. (a dictionary is helpful for this)
2. proofread anything you write!

well if u just simply dont know how to spell some words, then whenever u see a new word, that is hard to spell for u, break it into smaller fragments that are easier to remember.
