why do most russian people tip like crap even after excellent service?

not trying to sound sterotypical but its tru 98 %of russian people i waited on tiped awfull is it because they just dont know waitresss in the south make 2.14 an hour or is it because they dont care?

and no im half russian and my mother is russian so i dont judge before i meet its just based exsperiance ive been a waitress for 6 years

In most European countries waiters and waitresses get decent wages. The service is already included in the bill, so if you tip excessively you are only paying double.

I'm from Europe and I'm actually shocked to learn that in a civilised country like the US they only receive 2.14 an hour.
Most people in Europe tip like this in restaurants: if the bill is 37 euros, you give 40 and don't expect any change, i.e. you round it off.

Only for truly exceptional service people might tip more.

That might be part of the problem, because how can they know that waitresses in the US get paid that badly?

If I'm paying $250 for a meal, a tip would not be so much of an challenge. I'm a bartender and I understand how I desire my drink. If the beverages are proper, the meals is well and the provider is well, I'd depart 100 for a tip. It's probably a lot of money to them even if it doesn't seem like much to us. Russia's economy is pretty bad, and the average salary is only $300.00 a month (something like that).

It sounds like you look down on Russians anyway; maybe you serve them not expecting much of a tip in the first place.

Not a tipping society. American tip THE MOST I've seen. Tipping may just not be a part of the culture. Why tip when you get a paycheck some say!

Probably because they don't have much money. The average wage earner in Russia makes about $600 per 'YEAR'. Just eating out in the U.S. is a major big time splurge for them.

Because in russia noone tips, not looking at the service. They will not complain if the service is bad either. That's how it is.

THE RUSSIAN-UKRANIAN THREAT TO THE WORLD

Theft, scams, and every illegal method of cheating and robbing is a way of life for them, the word is out all over Russia that when stores close in America, there is still stuff on the store shelves that has not been sold or shoplifted. This is an incredible thing for anyone in Russia to believe, and the petty thief element has seized on that rumor and, (500,000 to date), have come to the USA to steal or grab whatever they can get

In the soviet union, the word and the way was, to cheat the government; there was no private industry to cheat, so they cheated the state.
This mentality to cheat the government, they carry to the rest of the world. Tax fraud ,welfare and healthcare fraud are the passwords to riches for them here in America.

The word is also out all over the former soviet union, that in America, all you have to do is claim you are unable to work and the government supports you and gives you free medical care. This attracts the parasite class, whose main ambition is to live off of what others provide them and the prostitution clique of the old soviet union – women with no scruples, the “rotten ****” type whose underhanded life style plagues the innocent. These scam artists get phony medical certificates in Russia from corrupted doctors, don’t show them when they apply for visas to come here, but on arrival go to the social security administration, show the documents and claim disability benefits under the social security system. They bring with them whatever pills are needed to create the symptoms of the condition if they are examined by American doctors, and a hundred thousand are claiming they have heart disease and getting free medical care and benefits by showing bad heart beat rhythms, when they apply and get away with it. All thru pills they know cause heart beat irregularities. And if one of them dies, they bury the body secretly and keep collecting social security benefits, and let some other illegal use the medical card.


And its not just immigrant visas. Many get tourist visas, come and stay, and pay Russians in the USA to claim they are close relatives of these “visitors” so they adjust their status and go on the welfare or social security system and live free, no work, and we suckers paying taxes pick up the tab.
Then there’s the Russian mafia – organized in New York, Boston, Philadelphia Chicago and Los Angeles and spreading out now from there. Blackmailing, fencing of stolen goods, sale of weapons and nuclear materials to anyone with the money to pay for it, and enforcement of their evil by murder not just to opponents, but also to critics.

In the old soviet union, people huddle in fear of these criminals, actually hoping they will leave those countries for the west. Even the governments of these countries are afraid to act against them for fear of reprisals against the families of government officials, and/or are bribed to let the criminal element do as it wishes and go where it wishes.

These leeches and thieves are polluting not just the USA but all the world.
Not content with that, they now are reaching out from inside Russia to steal from us here
thru internet scams and bank document fraud. The wickedness of this evil threatens not just the USA but the entire world.

No wickedness ever threatened the world as this breed of evil. It’s the exportation of crime and wrongdoing wherever they can put it.

What kind of fools are letting this go on in this country and welcoming these thieves and leeches and gangsters in here to ruin our lives?
What kind of fools are we to let them get away with it?
